Ohio House Republicans introduce their own proposal to rewrite state’s recreational marijuana law

Ohioans made their voices heard when they voted to legalize recreational marijuana—but now, some politicians want to override that decision. I stand firmly against efforts to undermine voter-approved laws and will fight to ensure that your vote counts and your voice is respected.

Statement on Issue 19: Elyria Schools Emergency Levy

I fully support Issue 19, the Elyria Schools Emergency Levy, as it is essential for maintaining the high-quality education our students deserve. This levy will provide critical funding to sustain teacher salaries, educational programs, and classroom resources without increasing taxes beyond previous levels.

Without this funding, Elyria Schools could face larger class sizes, program cuts, and staff reductions, directly impacting student learning. The district has demonstrated responsible financial management, operating efficiently and earning 20 consecutive clean audit awards, while not requesting new funding since 2010.

Supporting Issue 19 is an investment in our students, community, and future. I encourage Elyria residents to vote YES on May 6, 2025, to ensure our schools remain strong and continue providing excellent opportunities for our children.
