Lorain County, OH – Mike Baker, a small business owner, community leader, and lifelong Lorain County resident, is officially announcing his candidacy for Ohio’s 52nd District State Representative. Running on a platform of strong schools, workers’ rights, and government transparency, Baker is committed to bringing leadership that listens and works for the people.
“As a lifelong resident of Lorain County, I’ve seen firsthand the challenges our families face. From underfunded schools to attacks on workers’ rights, it’s clear we need new leadership that truly listens to the people,” said Baker. “I’m not a career politician—I’m a small business owner, a community leader, and a father. I know what it means to work hard and fight for what’s right, and that’s exactly what I’ll do in Columbus.”
A Vision for Ohio’s 52nd District
Baker’s campaign is focused on delivering real results for the community. His key priorities include: ✅ Investing in Education & Workforce Development – Ensuring fair school funding, competitive teacher pay, and expanding career training so students are prepared for good-paying jobs.

Baker has spent years giving back to Lorain County, serving as President of the local Little League, holding leadership roles in Scouting BSA, and running First Choice Photography, a business that has supported local schools and sports programs for over 15 years.
